We understand the fitness industry has by and large failed the public. There has been an over emphasis on weight-loss, dieting and appearance instead of health and wellness.
Although exercise is a key part of the health formula, less and less people are doing it.
Exercise needed to evolve.
This prompted the development of our DEEP CORE4 Foundational Training process. It was created as one of four ELEMENTS we use to assist our clients with their specific health and wellness challenges.

While there are many proven methods for improving health, we at FUSION HDP believe they all fall under FOUR ELEMENTS of HUMAN HEALTH and in specific order.
Our unique, personalized approach is based on these elements and allows each individual to PRACTICE HEALTH, helping our clients to again be in control of their own health, wellness and quality of life.
Element #1 – EXERCISE (movement) is the catalyst for all growth, healing and repair. As a primary regulator, proper digestion and elimination cannot occur without it.
It has profound effects on the brain (growth of neurons, learning) and may explain the highest cognitive function among the strongest seniors.
One of the biggest challenges is a lack of understanding and knowledge to determine the right exercise for the right result.
Element #3 – DeSTRESSING is no longer an option, stress management is required today. Injury, disease, worry, pollen in the air, vitamin deficiency, poor sleep, fast food and shift work are all stressors to our bodies.
Stress accumulates – the more stress you have the more dysfunction your body must deal with. Stress inhibits your immune system and turns off your repair and maintenance programs.
Element #2 – NUTRITION is the cornerstone for every aspect of your life – body, mind and spirit and we know it is confusing. What you eat is often the most difficult area to adjust as we are so emotionally connected to food.
There is no one way to eat for everyone.
Nutritional strategies are based on requirements and goals and both will change over time based on the progression of your body and mind.
Element #4 – RECOVERY is the last and most important step when Practicing Health. It is the time and ‘state’ required for the body to recalibrate and fine tune all of its regulatory processes and allow the cycle to repeat itself.
Too many people place their emphasis only on the EXERCISE component and fail to understand the absolute need for the body to balance and restore itself. Chronic pain, repetitive injuries and emotional stress all interfere with the recovery process.

John D. Eberley has been active in the health and fitness field for thirty years. In his teens, John was a nationally ranked (amateur) bodybuilder. During this time he was fascinated by the ability to physically transform the body through exercise & proper nutrition. John saw how his older gym peers were much more physically capable and youthful, compared to others of similar age. These early experiences set the stage for a keen understanding of the importance of FITNESS.
In 1987 John lost his mother to a three-year battle with cancer. This was by far the single biggest influence on the direction his life would take. His passion for “bodybuilding” shifted to fitness and identifying the lifestyles and behaviors that help or hinder human health, wellness and performance.
John’s competitive energies turned towards uncovering the truth found in scientifically based research and natural laws. He then began applying this knowledge and insight to fitness, nutrition, stress reduction, and recovery.
In 2011 John introduced the culmination of his work (so far) with, The New Health Care. “We work with individuals who understand the need and are willing to take control of their own health and wellness.” Clients learn SelfCare (the ONLY effective form of health care) through four primary areas (fitness, nutrition, de-stressing and recovery) in order to maintain and improve the quality of their health, life and outlook.
In 2012 John coauthored the bestselling book, The Fad Free Fitness Formula, in which John explains how fitness is actually your primary health care and the catalyst for all recovery and growth. Even your brain can’t work properly without physical stimulation.
As Founder and President of FUSION- Human Development & Performance Corporation, John continues to guide and inspire others with his unique understanding of fitness, health and healing of the whole self. Pro athlete or ‘all star’ soccer mom – his unique approach and proprietary training methods help get their clients off the bench and back into the game of life.
Marlon started working out at the age of 16, and although he says it was to gain strength for hockey, we’re pretty sure adolescence may have played a role.
There is no teacher like experience and Marlon soon discovered that no matter how bad he felt before a workout, he always felt much better after. Marlon began hanging around gyms to learn whatever he could from whomever he could. He watched videos, read and observed everything that he could related to fitness.
Marlon also began to pursue Martial Arts at the age of 19 and has continued ever since.
One of the benefits of his experience with Martial Arts was a new appreciation of the need for expert instruction. Marlon completed the Personal Fitness Training program at Mount Royal University in 2007 and went on to complete his Medical Exercise Specialist certification (American Academy of Health, Fitness & Rehabilitation Professionals) in 2009.
Marlon first met John Eberley about 13 years ago. At that time Marlon was suffering from debilitating Cluster Headaches. They were extremely debilitating and at times the pain was so bad, he thought about taking his own life just so the pain would finally stop.
John and Marlon had many discussions around – what real heath was – and that health wasn’t just about physical fitness. When Marlon embraced these principles fully (which evolved into the 4 Elements of Human Health), he was able to eliminate the underlying conditions and those cluster headaches without the use of medication or surgery.
This amazed Marlon and what he thought would be a miracle became his reality instead. From this point on, Marlon became committed to sharing this incredible knowledge with others so they could feel the same freedom and sense of empowerment that he now enjoys.
